I just did a quick calculation and after currency conversion, based on average prices, it looks like you'd save 12 Canadian dollars on a 50 liter tank, not including the foreign transaction/currency conversion charge, or the use of the gasoline to get there. Considering the length of the trip, you're paying yourself as little as $4/hour to drive and suffer that traffic. Unless you're an utter bonehead, it only makes sense if you're in the mood for a change of scenery, or you're saving buying other things.
