LSE is always going to be quiet and on the “edge of town” so to speak. Like Tudor City on the far east side of Midtown (rather than Hudson Yards with its massive office buildings). There just isn’t enough over there to pull people through it - no train station, etc. Even Navy Pier is on the other side of the River, and even that’s just tourists.
