Not everyone embraces the brewery/bar vibe. Some like the Scottsdale nightclub/Vegas style vibe more. Weather is also a major factor.....for both sides too. Phoenix has more of a San Diego/LA cultural style. Denver is completely different (hipster). Not a good comparison IMO.

The vast majority of College Grads I know are still in Phoenix, even moved back after a few years away.
A good portion of my friends are college grads from Pittsburgh, and the greater Midwest that moved here in their mid twenties.
