While these towers will be impressive, car traffic on the 2-lane Beresford is going to be brutal and constant. If only Burnaby would be as progressive with car infrastructure as it is in tower building.
I was under the impression that the city's plan was to eventually convert Beresford street (at least for the length of the Tower row spanning the Skytrian station from Moda all the way to Modello) into a pedestrian street and artwalk type street with no vehicle traffic except crossing into the towers' blocks.

In fact, IvanHoe Cambridge (owners of Metropolis mall and landlords of the land that the bus loop currently sits on) had proposed and hoped to transfer part or all of the Bus loop from it's current location to some section of Beresford back when they were still planning the Skytrain station re-design (in the hopes of eventually placing a MetroTower IV in the location of the current Bus Loop) but that plan was very quickly and summarily shot down by the city even after some of the architect's renderings (VIA Architects) had leaked showing that design scheme.

I don't know if that's still the plan as of now, but if so, brutal car traffic on Beresford might end up being the least of your concerns (or out of your concerns, with a headache of a different kind).
