I don't have exact height elevations for the Connaught tower proposed, but it will also be higher than the escarpment, and quite likely by a greater margin than Vrancor and Connolly.
So, despite the upcoming height restriction at city hall, we have potential for a vastly improved skyline over the next couple years with these builds already approved.
And for future builds adhering to the new height limit, the skyline will still be impacted. Currently George St is pouring the 31st floor. Partway up the 31st floor is where they break through the escarpment height 'limit'. So the current height of that build is what will be allowed through much of the core.
As you can see from any angle of the skyline, it is very visible and very impactful on the skyline. So if we can get a bunch of builds that go right up to the allowed height, our skyline will continue to grow and improve.

Phase 3 of the Connaught is going to be 36 storey's. I can't comment on the Connolly (that might not even be the name of the future development), but we're for sure going to have a larger skyline within the next 2-4 years. It's an exciting time for development in Downtown Hamilton.
