Personally I think the bigger issue is the location of the transfer. It is a desolate windswept field on the side of a highway with cars whizzing by at 80+km/h. Yes there are shelters and the QCH is to the north, but it is hardly a safe nor enjoyable place to wait for a bus.

The alternate route has a transfer at Lincoln Fields, which is much nicer and the routes have much more frequent service at most if not all times of the day, making the transfer smoother. If there was a fast, direct bus, that would be an even better option.

Which route would you choose?

Edit: I plugged Baseline to Bayshore by Transit into Google Maps, and it only shows using the transitway via either Lincoln Fields or Queensway Stations.
