Gensler also designed the Google tower, and that has glass covering the whole garage... Maybe it was a cost thing or maybe they wanted a brutalist look.  |
I thought it had to do with the city not wanting reflective glass fronting the creek due to sun glare. Or that’s the reason the windows are treated differently but maybe that section had to be mesh.
