I don't think so, Gordon Hogg was a popular and well-liked MLA. His name recognition alone should be enough to offset any lasting negative sentiment. The Conservatives' candidate is pretty high-profile as an ex-Harper cabinet minister but she still lives in South Delta.
Also we're about 10 days to 2 weeks on from the worst of the anti-Morneau press coverage so a lot of voters will have forgotten about it.
