It's a shame they can't work on the convention center at the same time. It's frustrating to see the council drag their feet on making that decision. They keep coming up with things to ask city staff for in order to drag things out. I think the proposal was submitted 2 years go.
Adler tried to make it part of a bigger proposal to get support as the "downtown puzzle" but the council wants to study that on a piece by piece basis including evaluating if they should expand the convention center which (IIRC) they already recommended.

I wish there was support to put a vote in an election to fund an audit of the council that analyzes when issues were pushed due to a lack of consideration of the prepared facts. TLDR: I don't think all the council members read what they are given and some of them just don't accept facts that contradict their beliefs.
Someone here should run for District 1 or 5 next year.
