That's the great advantage of the Domain area, that it's not surrounded by established residential neighborhoods and much of the surrounding industrial facilities have fallen into disuse. IMO, It's these adjacent projects that will determine the long-term success of the Domain.

If it were to remain an island of "new urbanism" surrounded by busy main trafficways and little pedestrian access, there's only so far it can go, but transforming the greater area into a large walkable district is going to have a ripple effect and also sustain it over decades.

Hell, having a pleasant experience walking from the Metrorail station alone would change the experience altogether.
