Open House set for proposed Chuka Creek Business Park in Regina

A new industrial area could be on the way for the southeast end of Regina.
A concept plan application for a proposed new industrial park called “Chuka Creek Business Park” is in the works.
Shauna Bzdel, director of planning with the City of Regina, says the development would be in a unique location.
“There’s a boundary of the Bypass that seprates this area from the rest of the city,” Bzdel said. “It’s been a challenge for growth on the east side of the Bypass. That’s what makes it different from any other areas of the city.”
Monday the city is hosting an open house to give people the chance to check out the plan, give feedback and ask city staff or the developer questions.
The come-and-go open house will start at 5 p.m. and go until around 8 p.m. at Living Hope Alliance Church on Arcola Avenue.
