We're already at the hot stage of summer (for now). And shade is most welcome. But seriously, this tower will have no more damaging effect than the mass of towers that is already there.
It will tower over the playground, for sure. But it's Downtown Manhattan. Things tower.
The playground is just to the right of 80 South St and its neighbors...
