IIRC there was an older "Strathcona Library" tucked into a small outbuilding at Strathcona elementary school. You would have no idea a VPL branch was there unless you took the time to hunt it down and find it.

I don't mind it. Just reading about the story of the name I learned a lot about
salish languages. And if you unsure about the pronunciation I'm sure you can call it the strathcona library still. ( "nə́c̓aʔmat ct " = "naht-sah-mahtst" )
