Plans for building what would be the city's tallest building at 26 North St. progressed a step
Quote:
A controversial plan to build a 22-story, 244-foot, mixed-use tower near the Eighth Street Light Rail station moved a step forward on Wednesday when the council approved a redevelopment agreement between the city and developer Lance Lucarelli.
The site plan for the tower was approved last summer. City Planner Sue Mack said a redevelopment plan usually holds the developer to certain requirements, such as deadlines for when different parts of a project must be completed.
It's not clear what requirements Lucarelli -- who couldn't immediately be reached -- is being held to under the agreement. Lucarelli said in October that a groundbreaking has not yet been scheduled for the project.
