I was remiss in not linking the interior shots to the prior NLA post. They do not show the "operational" London Shop in the Ambassador, with distinctive signage, which is what I had hoped to find. Those replica street lamps may have adorned the exterior of the store and the wood paneled facade seems to fit.

I think there may be some stock advertisements in one of those typical visitor's guides/periodicals from the '60s-'70s, e.g. "Key" or perhaps even in a "Los Angeles Magazine." The shop may have been included as background for a TV show, or two.

FWIW, the GoGo's notebook site says the following:

In 1979 til 1983 Larchmont Hall became a clothing warehouse for the The London Shop. At the time there were six London Shops in Los Angeles. One was inside the Roosevelt Hotel. The London Shop spurred recollections of several other clothiers/haberdasheries, some of which received fleeting NLA mention and most of which were in Beverly Hills. Monte Factor (270 N Beverly Drive), Jerry Rothschild (710 and later 270 N. Beverly Drive), Mr. Guy (Rodeo) and Carroll & Co. (Rodeo). Brussell's University Store for Men (114 S. Beverly Drive Adjacent to Hamburger Hamlet at 122 So. Beverly Dr.).

To be sure, most of these stores moved around, e.g., the '56CD lists Mr. Guy at the Town & Country Stores across from the Farmers' Mkt at Third and Fairfax.
