You guys are putting too much into Trump - the politician. I believe almost all of the Austin posters would have welcomed a "Trump" tower if it were planned a few years back.
There are a myriad of company names which bear the name of it's founding family: Marriott, Hilton, Dell, Johnson & Johnson, Bloomberg, Turner Broadcasting, etc...
A certain level of egotism/narcissism is required to achieve the level of success represented by these and several other major corporations.
