Manhattan's Seaport to Get First All-Glass Residential Tower

Marketed by developer Fortis Property Group as Manhattan's "oldest new neighbourhood," the historic mercantile buildings of the Seaport have defined the built character of the area for decades. Gleaming glass towers are sprouting up throughout the island, and despite its low-rise brick architecture, the Seaport is not escaping the onslaught of highrise development. Climbing to a height of 204 metres (670 feet), Fortis' 1 Seaport will become the area's first all-glass residential tower.
