This is almost the sort of thing I thought would be part of the Waller Creek redevelopement when the tunnel and possible river type walk was being kicked around. If this gets built in Rainey St, it will become as the name on the right side business implies, a magnet for the entire neighborhood. I love the design and overall functionality of this structure. This to me now becomes an absolute no brainer that it will be a huge success and a new definer of what Rainey Street is, other than just a bunch of new high rises. I think this should be phase one of at least a few more of these for the area. As a matter of fact, this is the sort of idea that the Seaholm power plant should have adapted instead of selling out to private business. These places are pure neighborhood enhancers.
