'mystery' location
J. Howard's Horticultural Establishment, Los Angeles Calif.*
eBay
Actually, it's the
Paul J. Howard's Horticulture Establishment (Paul is cut off in the tourist snapshot)
This 1930 booklette gives the address as 250 S. La Brea Ave.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1930-Flowerl...-/380878683395
the address is in the inside cover
And yet this ad/pamphlet gives the address as 11700 National boulevard.
With the two different addresses, I'm not sure where the fine looking building in the snapshot was located.
Here's a closer look at the
'mystery' building.

*I just realized
Godzilla posted a whole series of photographs showing Flowerland (but the building in the faded tourist snapshot doesn't appear in any of them)

GW posted this:
"At Barrington and National was Paul J. Howard's Flowerland Nursery. It was a huge and beautiful nursery.
Mr. Howard had moved his nursery from 3rd and La Brea to this location as he felt there was a great future here in the outskirts of Los Angeles....
'Colonial Corners' was the name given to the intersection of National and Barrington when Howard's Nursery started in 1940."
So I think it's safe to say, my
'mystery' building was probably located at the earlier address, 250 S. La Brea Avenue.
