I get free water in public washrooms but I have to pay for water at home. Is that a permanent subsidy?
Many of these charging stations won't be free exactly, especially the ones downtown where you'll have to pay a parking fee. There's the incentive for the private sector right there — install a charging station and EVs will pay to park at your garage.
