Agreed. And no sycamores. They're ok trees I guess if you have the room, but they have a lifespan of about 100 years, and once they hit that number they become trouble because they become hollow and brittle. The house next to us had one in the backyard. The drought killed it, but it was already near the end of its life. It was probably 70 feet tall. One night during a strong cold front with a lot of wind, the top 20 feet broke off and clipped their house. I was in my bedroom on the other end of our house, and I clearly heard it fall. And I knew right away what it was because we'd been eyeing it since it had been leaning even, and was nearly completely dead. It didn't do too much damage to their house, it just clipped the eve and knocked off a few boards, but it could have been worse. Their bedroom is less than 10 feet away from where it was.
