After spending the second half of last week at OBMF for the official reveal, car 2401 is back at Anderson where the commissioning work is about to start. I have noticed the seats being finished in a slightly different shade of red with textured finish instead of the shiny, polished surface they had a few months ago. I wonder if that's going to prevent the bowling alley effect when the brakes come on hard.

The next car should arrive within a week or two and they're looking at April to have at least a 3-car train in service by then. Car 2207 will get shrink-wrapped on the weekend and shipped to Sacramento for its midlife refit. They might even use the same flat car that will bring 2402.
