Downtown Austin’s booming real estate market has the owners of a 1980s condominium project wondering if the time has come to sell their prime property at the foot of Lady Bird Lake and Waller Creek.
The owners of the 58-unit Villas on Town Lake are being represented by real estate broker Robert Knight. Knight said he will begin soliciting offers from developers in October for the coveted 2-acre waterfront site at 80 Red River Street, just steps from Lady Bird Lake and the hike-and-bike trail.
The site is one of the last downtown parcels available for development on the north side of Lady Bird Lake between Interstate 35 and Lamar Boulevard, Knight said.
