That's quite the project. ^ The city I live in has a population of 17,000 ish. built a new arena in 2013. Full bowl 2000 (originally 1800) seats Expandable to 4000, they over built the entire building and built it so they could add an upper bowl for future growth. Team facilities are top notch, The city want's to attract an AJHL team so they built an arena that could host a WHL team to make that happen...for now its houses a junior B team (A very successful one champs 5 years in a row), it has a great Center hung Scoreboard. Next year they are breaking ground on a 350 seat practice/community rink right beside it. At the same time they will add 6 Cooperate suites and a restaurant/lounge with an arena view on both sides. Don't underestimate what a new arena can do for a city. "Imperial oil place" has attracted a ton of big artists Machine gun kelly,Snoop dog, Tragically hip, Hedley, Emerson drive and Counting crows, off the top of my head. It hosted the keystone cup this year. A couple of king of the cage fights have come our way. Nothing like that is possible without a modern arena that can handle having structures hanging from the roof. I know It's not a major arena but I figured it was worth posting
