I found your picture on
transittalk.proboards.com (just over 3/4 of the way down the page). Their description says
"Los Angeles Railway, 5 Line, Car 1275, at Hawthorne Blvd & 122nd, 1948/08/15". I also found a couple of posts on
cougartown.com where someone said Mastin Drugs opened in the 1930s and another said it was "on the S/E corner of Hawthorne [Boulevard] and Broadway". Broadway was the end of the 5 Line. Here's the area in 1952.
