I don't think the street should be completely blocked to cars, but this would reduce the amount of cars passing through from Peachtree and make this already pedestrian friendly street even better for pedestrians. Also the tables are always packed so it really does need more seating space.

Agreed, which is actually the confusing part to me. I don't understand why they're only closing half the street. Anyone know? Is it to allow deliveries or something?
