Is that a cop actually directing traffic? You don't see that much nowadays. Austin's finest do not engage in that singular art form any longer, but I think traffic downtown would benefit from more hands on direction from traffic directing officers. Some of them used to wear white gloves back in the day because it made their hand gestures more visible. I wonder how that would look with today's para-military police look.
