Maybe the difference is between the residential floorspace and the total building square footage? Keep in mind that 432 Park has a pretty sizable retail element, as well as numerous below-ground levels.

In contrast, this Hudson Yards tower will not have extensive retail. It will probably be a bulkier tower, even if it rises to 1,400 ft.
