I think you will find there is a lot of people on the right and centre that agree with the sentiment that Private business should be able to chose how they advertise and the unless there is a public safety issue the government should stay out of it.
If you look at the MacDonalds on Alderbridge. The sign does not tell you its a restartant it simply tells you it is something called "MacDonalds"? Does a "BMO" sign tell you its a bank? Does the RBC Lion tell you its a bank? You end up on slippery slop when the government starts to decide what is acceptable advertising and what is not.
