The building was once two-thirds occupied by Stelco and even when the ranks dwindled, with the highest housing Stelco's brass.
But the upper storeys have been empty for a decade. As recently as 2006, the space had yet to be pared back to bare plates. At that point the drywalled office configurations were still up and even some ungainly custom pieces remained. There was a massive '70s-era security/reception console that I remember looking like something off the bridge of the Cygnus or the Basing Street Studios mixing desk.
Great snaps, mattgrande. It'd be nice if Yale/Real were able to rig up HD cams streaming from every face of the top floor. Call it a sales tool.
