He first developed the area centered around Magnolia Blvd. Earl White graded the road between Burbank to the Cahuenga pass through what was then called "Dark Canyon" . It is now Barham Blvd. He started Burbank's first Radio Station and started Magnolia Park's own newspaper, the Tribune. By 1929 there were more than 3500 homes built in Magnolia Park
