That's probably true actually, but in this case... the first area that looks like farmland is the small valley that the Deerfoot Highway is in, and the second area is actually the massive YYC. The areas beyond that are a mix of residential with farmland and a power plant (the red smoke stacks) behind it. It just looks like farmland because the city has a semi-arid(semi-desert) climate, so the grass turns brown and looks like wheat by the end of summer. That is one of the things I find really cool about Calgary actually!
