If you read far enough back on retail insider blog that was linked you will see that not only is Nordstorms rumored for the Zellers space in Polo Park but that the mall is trying to buy out the Sears space to convert to other retails including Simons and H&M. Simons had a tenative deal to be one of the anchor tenants in the failed The Elms development on the old stadium site and H&M has long been rumored for Winnipeg & Polo Park.

I wonder if they are successful in buying out Sears if they will tear down/redevelop and extend further south, possibly all the way up to Portage Ave. The reality of things is if you look at the upscale push on Polo Park and the size of similar malls in Canada it seems that an expansion of some sort is coming there sooner than later. Personally I could see them extending the mall space furhter south ending with one or more new medium to large anchors.
