Edgeware between Colton and Second was once Kern St. According to insurance maps, the renaming took place after 1921, and there was no house on the southeast corner of Colton and Kern/Edgeware before then either. The house now at 172 N Edgeware must have been moved to this lot, perhaps from somewhere in the neighborhood--its architecture is characteristic of the mid 1900s.
