I'd expect the streetcar to breath life into many of the projects along the route that sputtered out during the recession, as well as generating some new developments. But the streetcar alone is not enough to revive a massive (and expensive) proposal like LA Central. Maybe if Farmer's Field pans out.

Broadway will be the largest beneficiary of the streetcar, which was the intention all along.

I'm hoping that they go with a different look when they actually implement the streetcar. Given LA's well known history with urban railways, I don't think anyone would have a problem with a throwback to Pacific Electric.
