Clubbing in Kelowna gives that kind of impression. Last time I was partying there with my cousin from Calgary, he referred to it as the 'D-bag capital of Canada'. The bar scene felt like a bunch of roided up monkeys and bleach blond skanks.

Course that's only one face of the city, and I certainly don't feel it represents it as a whole. I lived in Kamloops for many years, and it has a more layed back rural atmosphere, whereas Kelowna is more urban for obvious reasons (density, size, etc.). Both cities have their merits, and the better one depends on a person's choice of lifestyle.
