Alright, here's a question for the photography pros around here. As you guys know, I've got a Nikon D5100 (sorry, no full frame body for Glowrock!
)... I've come to the conclusion that it's time for an external flash, but I really don't relish spending hundreds for one of the Nikon flashes. Does anyone have any experience with flashes from manufacturers such as Bower, Vivitar, Polaroid, Opteka, etc... etc...? I don't need anything extraordinarily fancy, but I would like it to have enough bells and whistles that I can "grow into" as time goes on. Any recommendations?
