It is such a waste of an opportunity to build it in Laval of all places. I don't see many people from Montreal (except from the north end) or the south shore actually going to this thing.
There are a million better places to put it (why not actually build it on the island of Montreal?) Here is where they want to build it:

(You do have a view of the Residence Soleil though)... Even Mont-Saint-Hilaire is more urban than that....
My prediction is that the AHL team will last 3 years and then will move because nobody will go to the games.
The Habs franchise is really clueless when it comes to choosing locations for its arenas. First they decide to permanently ruin Windsor Station, now they decide to put in AHL team in the
metropolis of Laval.
