Among the local players notably absent from the roll of signatories are Downtown Hamilton BIA members and James North owners John Mokryke and Tim Potocic.

It’s interesting to see the borders of the Downtown BIA in May 2007, when it already incorporated James North as far as Rebecca. Border expansion seems like a natural step given EcDev's Downtown Hamilton Community Improvement Project Area (also from early 2007), but nothing is for sure. Except maybe the drama that will ensue.
