This may have been overlooked by some, but the best view in the River Region now belongs to the city.

The highest point in Montgomery is officially city property.
It starts at the corner of Holt Street and Maxwell Boulevard and has great views of the Alabama River, and the Montgomery skyline.
The city hopes the property will be turned into apartments or condominiums, and commercial businesses.
The entire land was bought for $1.5 million from money the city had left over from the bond issue.
