I somehow have a feeling Canada won't qualify until 2018. The game will have a better hold in Canada by then with MLS expansion and academy prospects coming out of Cdn clubs, especially VWFC, could be very promising.

I agree about Canada's WC qualifying chances. I think that 2014 is a pipe-dream, but by 2018 we could have a shot for the reasons you mentioned.
Spain's diving was frustrating (as was Ronaldo's a couple of days ago). I wish that FIFA would put an end to it. It's simple really. If you dive, you're engaging in unsportsmanlike activity, for which a just punishment is a yellow card. Do it again in the same match and you get sent off.
