Well, thanks for the post Mr. X, but Heisley's assertions are hardly worth responding to. In short, what he is saying is obviously not true.
Anyways, when I was in Memphis a few years ago, I noticed a huge line-up for what appeared to be a basketball game. So I asked a local about it - wondering if the Grizzlies had won over the sports fans in that fine community.
To which he told me that the Grizzlies were the basketball after-ran after the local college team, which was in fact who were drawing the huge line-ups for tickets.
Heisley is symptomatic of the greater disease plaguing the NBA. Remember, they also bailed on a tremendous basketball tradition in downtown Seattle. Now that is bad karma.
