The PD just wrote an article about the University Circle apartments on May Day's original post. It seems they secured financing for the first phase of the project. Also, the article has a nice photo of the total neighborhood and the various projects that are pending (I can't believe how nice this will look, and right next to Little Italy!). Best of all, they are planning a new RTA train stop right in Little Italy (all I can say is it's about time!).

Also, the Opportunity Corridor (the expansion of I-490 from 77 east to University Circle) is finishing it's planning phase and is debating between two proposed routes. It seems like this project may be completed about the same time the University Circle projects may be done.
