hmm I'm surprised they didn't save the sign too. Seems somewhat short-sighted. The Economy Shoeshop's sign after all, is recycled. I remember seeing old photos where it was down on Barrington near the corner of Duke. Even if they weren't going to save the Tavern sign to hang outside the relocated Midtown, it could have still gone on a wall inside their new digs. A missed opportunity.
