They have tons of under cover police within the crowd, guaranteed. They also profile each person one by one, they pick out potential trouble makers and get ready to take them out immediately.
They also will likely have snipers in locations over looking the route that can take quick and drastic action in case of a serious incident, say a van crashing through the barriers and plowing towards the convoy
