In the role of Integrity Commisioner, I think it is a definite positive that Earl Basse comes from outside the municipality. This means he is completely removed from the city's political scene, and subsequently any potential conflict of interest when investigating complaints. His
resume is varied and impressive.
It is way too early for armchair critics to pass judgement on his performance, seeing as his first day of work here hasn't even come yet! I'd like to see how he handles the Whitehead complaint.
