The highway portion of the GEW in Maple Ridge uses those cable dividers in the median. Again i feel that the GEW, although short, is the best designed highway in the entire metro area.

I really do hope that the re-construction of the #1 also includes such upgrades as repaving and leveling the entire highway with stronger/better materials (there are far to many dips and humps in our road, only in Vancouver does one find such poor leveling on such a heavily used highway).

The use of the cable dividers would be a great addition, as would better use of reflectors on off ramps (look at GEW off ramps for example) and how about installing a few LED traffic update signs along the rout? These are used in many areas to give warnings about poor weather conditions and traffic jams ahead.
