The tower (Aliant Tower) is 127 m (416ft) tall and used for telecommunications. There was talk of it being used for observation a while back but a year or so ago Aliant came out publically and said they have no plans for it. There is only a small metal service staircase, which is quite difficult to go up apparently. My friend has gone up it before when he worked for Aliant...said the view was amazing...its too bad really.
