^Jacobs is planning to fit the needs of Cleveland right now. Someone who is impressed with a city only because of the number of tall buildings in it is not going to become enamored with Cleveland simply because we build one more tall building here. Most people don't want to go Downtown because it looks good from ten miles away. They want to go Downtown because there is a lot of streetlife and plenty of things to do there. Yes, Cleveland probably could build a larger building on Public Square if all other projects were killed and consolodated into one building, but what sense would that make? You can sit and obsess with tall buildings and a "mighty" skyline, or you can get real and figure out what this city needs to actually have a vibrant Downtown that attracts new residents and businesses while simultaneously becoming the center of the region where people go to have fun and shop. Cleveland already got a great skyscraper with the Key Tower, and it didn't magically solve all our problems. People are dreaming big here. They are dreaming of a great Downtown that is an asset to the region. You are dreaming of a tall building. Which one shows more foresight?
