This is pretty stupid, either this chick is a total idiot or shes being payed by someone to do this. Im amazed at the biasness of the western media towards the situation in Georgia.
Now obviously Russia has reasons to keep Georgia under its sphear of influence, predictable and stable, but there defenitly is no invasdion. First of all Georgia was the one who attacked, second of all Russia already had a presence mostly because there were Chechnyan rebels operating from there and taking refuge, infact the bombings on the Moscow metro a few years back were done by Georgian citizens. The other reason they had a presence there was because there was a civil war in the 90's after separation, Russia came in as a official peace keeper to stop it and help stabilize the region while they were fighting their own war rght accross the border.

Most importantly the fact that Russia stepped in saved thousands of lives and prevented a costly and destabilizing civil war like in the 90`s, so no matter what their motives, their actions were beneficial to Georgia. And to top it off its pretty darn clear that America has its fingers involved in this whole situation.

Personally I cant wait till Sochi hosts the games because the city will amaze allot of people. Its really a hidden gem of the world.

edit: should add that terrorist atacks are a huge risk since Sochi is so close to Chechnya...the rebellion there might have been pretty much crushed mostly thanks to Afghanistan sucking all the islamic militants away...but there are still going to be people left that are capable and wanting to carry out attacks against the games and Russia.
